Sheila Shannon, LVN, has served as our Clinical Director since January 2022.  She is from Lockhart, Texas and moved to the Austin area in 1990. She started her career in finance, but took time off to raise her four children when she had triplets in 2000. Around 2004, she decided to return to work but this time in the medical field. She first started as a caregiver for Brookdale and then decided to return to school to earn her LVN at Austin Community College. Sheila graduated with honors by earning the Pat Racek Award for the highest GPA in her class. Since 2010, she has served as a geriatric nurse in a large, fast-paced assisted living facility. Sheila came to our facility to slow down the pace so that she could better serve each of her patients. She serves as the medical liaison between the respective medical teams and our caregivers.In her free time, Sheila enjoys sewing, crocheting and spending time with her family.  She is also particularly talented in playing the native American flute.
